Nicolas Cage ‘accidentally drank his own blood’ while playing Count Dracula in new movie Renfield

He has revealed that Nicolas Cage accidentally drank his own blood while playing Count Dracula in the new Renfield film.

The 59-year-old actor had his teeth on as legendary vampire Bram Stoker alongside Nicholas Hoult as  downtrodden servant and bloodsucker Renfield, who is trying to break free from their toxic relationship after being his body dog ​​for decades. Fans can’t wait to see Cage play the Prince of Darkness, and parts of his portrayal in the trailer promise exactly the campy style one would expect from a two-time Oscar nominee.  Cage previously revealed that he primarily wanted to pay homage to his role as Dracula in Sir Christopher Lee’s Hammer horror film series and wear fangs  to  perfect his voice.

However, now he shared one of the downsides  that he kept biting his  lip because his fake ceramic teeth were so sharp. The Con Air and Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent star told a fan who asked if  real blood was used during filming: “There’s no rationale for the  method, but the fangs were real, they were ceramic and they were pretty accurate .

Renfield is set to release in cinemas on April 14, 2023.
